The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) helps U of A instructors strengthen student learning through engaging, inclusive, and evidence-informed approaches. Whether refining your approach, exploring new strategies, or tackling challenges, we provide the expertise and resources to support your teaching goals.
Everything we do at CTL is guided by the U of A Framework for Effective Teaching. We bring that same evidence-based approach to our faculty partnerships, strategic consultations, and work on cross-campus working groups and university committees to help drive the university's teaching and learning commitments and priorities.

Connect with colleagues from across the university to share stories, strategies, and solutions for online course design and delivery. Meet bi‑monthly, collaborate in a Canvas space, and enhance online learning across the university.

Lead curriculum change with clarity and confidence. Join peer learning communities for curriculum leaders working on program-level renewal, development, or review.
