They had won the last five computer Hex competitions, with their program Wolve in 2008, and with MoHex in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013.
Now our Computer Hex research group, led by Ryan Hayward, has done it again. This year there were two events, one on 11x11 and another on the 13x13 board. The competitors were much stronger than last year, but MoHex prevailed in both tournaments. The 13x13 was especially close, with MoHex and DeepHex tied after the main tournament. MoHex won the playoff 2:0.
