Best Paper Award at IBM CASCON 2023

Nathan Henderson, Iain Ireland, Matthew Gaudet, João Carvalho, and Jose Nelson Amaral win the Best Paper Award at IBM CASCON 2023 for their paper "Stub Folding: Retaining Type Specialization to Increase the Efficiency of Highly Polymorphic Inline Caches".
This is one of two papers that originated with Nathan Henderson's 2023 M.Sc. thesis, in a partnership with Mozilla. This is technology implemented in the SpiderMonkey compiler used to run JavaScript in the Firefox browser. Matthew Gaudet and Iain Ireland are former M.Sc. students now working with Mozilla. Matthew taught CMPUT 229 in Fall 2022. Joao Carvalho was a post-doc until recently, now he is with Qualcomm. Nathan is now working with IBM.
