No immediate campus changes as province lifts some measures

This evening (February 8), Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced the province’s three step plan to ease provincial public health restrictions, with some measures lifting as early as midnight tonight.
There will be no immediate changes to current U of A campus safety measures, including our CampusReady system. The CampusReady system is not part of the Government of Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program.
The university is assessing the province’s announcement and how it could impact our diverse community and campus activities in the coming days. We will continue to watch for any local adjustments to public health measures including those from municipalities. We will provide an update to the U of A community on February 11.
