Clinical Research

Clinical research plays a pivotal role in the advancement of potential new therapies by establishing safety and efficacy through human trials. Since 2012, the Clinical Research Unit has provided reliable, comprehensive management of both industry-sponsored and grant-funded phase II-IV clinical trials for a variety of indications.

The CRU is located on the second floor of the Li Ka Shing building (8602 - 112 th street) on the University of Alberta Campus.

Integrated Research

Imbedded within ADI’s Clinical Research Unit is the Human Nutrition Research Unit which focus on clinical studies involving dietary intervention, metabolic assessment (e.g., calorimetry) and body composition.

Nearby is the Physical Activity Diabetes Lab which offers exercise intervention studies for the prevention and management of diabetes.
