Association étudiante cycles supérieurs (AÉCS)
The mission of l'Association étudiante des cycles supérieurs (l'AÉCS) at Campus Saint-Jean is to enrich students’ experiences by amplifying their voices, fostering dialogue, and supporting their academic, personal and professional development.
The Goals of l'AÉCS :
- To create a working, learning and academic support environment that is accessible to all graduate students at Campus Saint-Jean
- To represent graduate students by providing a reliable and constructive voice on the committees of Campus Saint-Jean and the University of Alberta’s North Campus
- To contribute to the promotion and recruitment of students for the graduate programs offered at Campus Saint-Jean
The AÉCS regularly organises activities to support the academic journey of graduate students:
- A Community of Practice: An online space to exchange ideas, share resources, and discuss your research projects.
- Annual Graduate Conference: A conference where you can present your research in a supportive, French-speaking environment.
- Workshops and Training Sessions: Academic writing, methodology, citation tools (Zotero), professional development, etc.
- Networking Events: Cohort meetings, discussion cafés, and more.
- Student Support: Representation on committees and more.
