Applications for Fall 2025

Admissions open for Fall 2025, on the CCA website. Applicants must complete their application and pay a non-refundable application fee of $125.

The deadline for applications is March 1, 2025.

After you have applied for admission

Keeping track of your application

Once the application has been completed please consult the University of Alberta's After You Apply web page for instructions on what to do after you apply.

The important steps are as follows:

  • Check your status.
  • You will receive a University of Alberta email address, a 7-digit ID number, a CCID (letters of your email address before @ualberta.ca) and access to Launchpad.
  • Launchpad will give you important information about your status, the amounts to be paid and the documents you will need to submit.

After you have applied for admission

Submission of unofficial photocopies of school documents - transcripts and diplomas

In order for your application to be processed, you must upload unofficial copies (scanned photocopies) to your Launchpad. These documents are necessary, otherwise your application will be cancelled.

Please note: Submit results only after you apply.

Between 30 and 90 days after applications are submitted

Sending out admission offers

Possible responses:

  • Unconditional admission, if the file is complete
  • Conditional admission, if documents are missing from the application
  • Conditional admission, if the academic prerequisites are in the process of being met, for applicants who have not completed their secondary studies at the time of application
  • Waitlist, if the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available
  • Refusal

You will receive a letter informing you of the outcome of your application. Please read it carefully, as it contains important information.

30 days after the admission offer

Reply to the offer of admission

Within 30 days of the offer of admission, candidates must:

  • Accept the offer of admission.
  • Pay the compulsory non-refundable deposit.

Applicants admitted who do not meet these requirements will have their offer of admission revoked.

After the offer of admission and as soon as possible

International Students: procedures for obtaining a residence permit for study purposes

International students must apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a study permit.

It is strongly recommended that you visit the University of Alberta's web page for international students on how to obtain a study permit. It provides essential information.

The application for a residence permit must be made as soon as an offer of admission has been issued by the University of Alberta. Don't delay to ensure that you obtain your Study Permit in time for the start of classes on August 25, 2025.

April 2025

Course registration opens

Registration is open to admitted candidates who have accepted the offer of admission. Registration is online through the University of Alberta's BearTracks application. Access to BearTracks is based on your identification number (ID) and your CCID.

Admission and course registration are two separate processes. You must register for your courses yourself.

June 15, 2025

Submission of official and original school results for applicants from a post-secondary institution

1 - Applicants who completed their studies in Alberta:

  • Schools transmit the official and original academic results directly to the University of Alberta via Apply Alberta. All students have to do is give their consent to Apply Alberta to send the documents. 

2 - Applicants who completed their studies outside Alberta :

  • Applicants must ask their educational institution to forward all original and official Grade 12 and post-secondary (if applicable) documents from their institution.
  • The documents must be sent by the institution that issued the transcripts and diplomas. If applicants send the documents themselves, they will not be accepted as original and official.
  • Your official academic documents must be sent in hard copy to the following address:

  • If your educational establishment is unable to send official documents by post, it can send an electronic document to this e-mail address: transcripts@ualberta.ca.

Documents must be in English or French. Documents in any other language must be officially translated.

Failure to send results will result in revocation of admission to the program and loss of the compulsory deposit.

  • Criminal Record Check:
    • Early Childhood Education and Health Care Aide
  • First Aid Certificate:
    • Early Childhood Education and Health Care Aide
  • Proof of vaccination:
    • Health Care Aide
  • Proof of completion of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Information & Privacy e-learning module, signature and submission of the Confidentiality and User Agreement found at the end of the module:
    • Health Care Aide
  • Proof of N95 mask certification :
    • Health Care Aide

Documents must be in English or French. Documents in any other language must be officially translated.

Failure to submit the documents will result in non-admission to the program and loss of the deposit.

August 25, 2025

Start of courses

International students must have obtained their Study Permit, be present in the country, and physically present themselves at Campus Saint-Jean to maintain their registration and admission.
