School results submission |
Applicants to the Early Childhood Education and Health Care Worker programs may forward all official Grade 11 results from your educational institution, if completed prior to application. Applicants to the Technician in Business Administration program may forward all official Grade 12 results from your educational institution, if completed prior to application. Candidates in the Early Childhood Education and Health Care Attendant programs who are currently completing Grade 11 must self-register their up-to-date results between February 15 and April 30, 2024. Applicants to the Technique in Business Administration program who are currently completing their 12th year must self-register their up-to-date results between February 13 and April 30, 2024. For all candidates: Official results from your educational establishment must be received by August 1, 2024. Please note: Submit results only after application has been submitted. |

Through the University of Alberta admissions system Adult applicants aged 21 and over in the Early Childhood Education and Health Care Attendant programs must include a letter of motivation with their application. Once the application has been completed, candidates are invited to consult the University of Alberta's web page on post-application instructions. |

International students: obtaining a residence permit for study purposes |
International students must apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a study permit. We strongly suggest that you visit the University of Alberta's web page on how to obtain a study permit. It provides essential information. Application for a residency permit must be made as soon as an offer of admission has been issued by the University of Alberta. The residency permit is required for the start of classes on September 3, 2024. |
April 2024 |
Course registration opens |
Registration is open to admitted students who have accepted the offer of admission, and is done online through the University of Alberta's Bear Tracks application. |
April 30, 2024 |
Deadline for self-registration of school results |
Candidates who have not yet completed their required high school courses enter their own results, which will be verified when the official results are transmitted from their educational institution. |
May 1, 2024 |

$500 deposit for Canadian students. $1000 deposit for international students. No refund of deposits in the event of non-registration for Autumn 2024. |
