Scholarships for College Students
Before applying for scholarships from the Centre collégial de l’Alberta, you must have accepted an offer of admission and be enrolled full-time (minimum of 9 credits). No scholarships are available to prospective students.
IMPORTANT
As of October 1, 2026, CCA students can now submit applications for CCA scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year.
All Alberta College Centre scholarships are paid by way of a credit to your tuition bill. No cheques or direct deposits will be issued.
Only applications submitted from a UAlberta email address will be considered. Before submitting an application, sign in to your UAlberta Gmail account using your CCID and password.
The deadline for submitting your applications using the forms above is October 31, 2026. A CCA student may receive a maximum of two different scholarships each year. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered. Only complete applications will be considered. Only selected applicants will be contacted.
CCA Scholarships
16 scholarships of $1,000
The entrance scholarship is automatically awarded to new students upon admission to the Centre collégial de l’Alberta, based on their grade point average (GPA) as determined by their previous transcripts.
No application or form is required. Selected students will be notified directly via UAlberta email. The selection committee’s decision will be communicated to you in January 2027.
16 scholarships of $1,000
The Excellence Scholarship is automatically awarded to students at the Centre collégial de l’Alberta based on their grade point average (GPA) for the fall semester.
No application or form is required. Selected students will be notified directly via their UAlberta email. The selection committee’s decision will be communicated to you in February 2027.
Scholarships of $1,000 are available to all new students enrolled in all courses in the program for the fall semester.

6 scholarships of $1,000
This scholarship aims to recognize civic engagement, leadership, and positive contributions to the community. The selection committee’s decision will be communicated to you in January 2027.
Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria:
- Diversity of Involvement: Demonstrate active participation in at least one of the following three areas:
- Community organizations (e.g., FRAP, RIFA, AJEFA, in schools).
- Charitable organizations (e.g., assistance for seniors, food banks, mentoring, organizing charity events).
- Extracurricular activities (e.g., student council, science or cultural clubs, sports teams).
- Impact and consistency: Cumulative involvement (across these three areas) must be significant (ideally over a minimum period of 6 months or a total of 40 hours during the past year).
- Leadership qualities: Demonstrated ability to take initiative or mobilize others.
- A recommendation (required): A recommendation from an organization leader or a teacher attesting to the nature and quality of the applicant’s involvement. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide the recommendation form to their recommender. Both the scholarship application form and the recommendation must be received by October 31 for the application to be considered.
16 scholarships of $1,000
This scholarship is intended to support students who continue their academic journey despite significant personal, financial, or social obstacles. The selection committee’s decision will be communicated to you in January 2027.
Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria:
Demonstrate continuity in your studies or a courageous return to school, despite particularly difficult living conditions.
- Challenges Faced: A 400-word essay in which the applicant explains (confidentially) the challenges they face. For example:
- Severe financial difficulties or single-parent status.
- The need to balance studies with full-time work (more than 20 hours per week).
- Role as a caregiver (providing constant support to a sick or disabled family member).
- Integration challenges related to recent immigration or separation from family.
- Persistent physical or mental health issues.
- Impact of the Scholarship: A 200-word essay in which the applicant explains how they overcome these obstacles on a daily basis and what this scholarship would mean to them.

Apply for financial assistance of up to $9,000!
The Government of Alberta has allocated funds for a scholarship program designed to help people who want to become health care aides. You can apply if:
- You are a student or graduate of an institution offering the Health Care Aide training program.
- Your program must have started on or after July 1, 2022.

The International Supplementary Bursary provides financial support to international students who demonstrate a funding shortfall to cover their tuition and basic living expenses for the current academic year.
