Admission Requirements
Mathematics:
Successful completion of one of the following courses: Mathematics 30-1, 30-2, Pure Mathematics 30, Applied Mathematics 30.
Proficiency in French:
French is the language of instruction in all programs at the Centre collégial de l’Alberta. Unless otherwise specified in certain programs, proficiency in French is demonstrated by:
- Successful completion of one of the following courses (Alberta Education Curriculum)
- French 30-1, 30-2
- French Language Arts 30-1, 30-2
- French 30 (9 years), 31, OR
- The equivalent of these courses in another Canadian province or in another country; OR
- Possession of a diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary institution where French is the language of instruction.

English language proficiency:
Generally, English language proficiency is demonstrated by successful completion of Alberta English Language Arts 30-1 and 30-2. Applicants admitted to Alberta College Centre programmes who do not have equivalent courses are admitted, unless otherwise specified in certain programmes. However, they must demonstrate English proficiency as identified in the admission requirements for their programme before obtaining their certificate or diploma and before they can obtain a Letter of Permission to study at another institution to complete their programme. English language proficiency is demonstrated by:
- Successful completion of English as a Second Language courses leading to Canadian Language Benchmarks 9.
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) overall score of 4.5, with no score below 4.0
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System): overall score of 5.5, with no score below 5.0.
