When is Suicide Prevention Week?

Jan. 19 - Jan. 23, 2026. In line with the World Suicide Prevention Day Theme, our goal is to shift the narrative from one of shame and silence to one of open dialogue and shared responsibility.

The week will include different workshops for students, faculty and staff at the U of A that not only foster discussion but also provide tangible steps for building hope, resilience and a future-oriented mindset.
