Nursing Graduate Student Orientation

We look forward to welcoming you at the Faculty of Nursing Graduate Orientation on Monday, August 31! Attendance is mandatory for new MN, MNPP, and PhD students as you will be introduced to important information about the Faculty of Nursing, your program curriculum, and University regulations. This information will help set you up for success in your studies. 

Detailed orientation agenda 
PhD students attend 9:00am to 2:00pm
MN and MNPP students attend 11:00am to 4:00pm

Summary of events (all time are MST): 

9:00-10:50am - PhD students only - presentation slides
11:00-11:50am - Learning in the Circle with the Kokums
12:00-12:40pm - Meet and Greet Dean and Vice-Dean / Lunch
12:45-2:00pm - MN, MNPP, and PhD students - presentation slides
2:10-3:00pm - MN and MNPP students only - presentation slides
3:10-4:00pm - MN and MNPP breakout sessions

 

The 2026-2027 Faculty of Nursing Orientation Handbook offers an introduction to many topics that are helpful during the early weeks of your program and is available on the Resources for Nursing Graduate Students Canvas site and the FoN website (Forms & Guidelines --  Guidelines, Policies, & Information) for you to review.
