The Faculty in Residence is a faculty member who teaches at the University of Alberta and lives in the residence community.

For students living in Nîpisîy House, Peter Lougheed Hall, Aspen House, Maple House, Pinecrest House, Tamarack House.

  • Learn more about postgraduate programs, like Medicine or Law.
  • Receive tips in studying and time management.
  • Get help making a presentation or writing a term paper.
  • Get help with a thesis or research project.
  • Get help putting together a CV, resume or cover letter.

Moin Yahya teaches in the Faculty of Law and has been the Faculty in Residence on and off since 2007. He works to enhance students’ academic success and personal development by running academic programs and providing students with informal academic counselling.

Yoojin Choi

Yoojin Choi is pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Specialization). She is passionate about supporting students’ academic development and personal well-being through active involvement in community, academic, and career-focused initiatives.
