WHO TO CALL

Reference the information below to determine the best contact method for receiving assistance with whatever issue you may be experiencing.

Emergency

Fire or life emergency

  1. Call 911 for any emergency that threatens student safety
  2. Then phone Protective Services at 780-492-5050
  3. Lastly, phone the Residence Services office or your RA on Shift

For urgent facility issues (i.e. floods or other risks to property)

  • Immediately contact the Residence Services office or your RA on shift.
    After business hours, contact Campus Control Centre at 780-492-4833 (for Augustana Campus, select 3 from the options).
  • After your call has been placed, submit a maintenance request to document the issue and for any following maintenance. Please indicate that a call was made to address the issue.

STUDENT & GUEST SERVICES DESK

During the academic year, the Student & Guest Services Desk (located in Lister across from the Marina) provides many services for residents, guests and staff.

Services offered

Please bring your ONEcard to access the following services:

  • Accept rent payments, damage charges and internet overage charges
  • Store packages for residents to pick-up (grab your package slip from your mailbox)
  • Keep track of lost/found items
  • Book the David Tuckey gym and all student accessible conference rooms
  • Lending out keys to the piano room or David Tuckey Gym (the gym requires two ONEcards)
  • Add money to your ONEcard

Most items are loaned out for one hour at a time.

Services NOT offered

  • Making change
  • Providing trolleys/moving carts
  • Dealing with room and/or roommate concerns (please visit the Residence Services office OR see your RA for help)
  • Troubleshooting your internet problems
  • Accepting responsibility or sign for international packages
  • Accessing charge amounts on your housing account
  • Providing personal information about ANY student/guest
  • Taking messages from parents

POSTERING IN RESIDENCE

To hang a poster in residence, you must first submit an application and ensure compliance with all guidelines. If approved (within 3–5 days) get your posters stamped at the International House office or the Lister Student & Guest Services. Posters will not be stamped without prior approval.
