To address a number of current challenges in the Clare Drake Arena, the University of Alberta is investing $10.9 million in the facility, including $5.9 million in institutional funding and earmarking up to $5 million in Capital Maintenance and Renewal funding from the Government of Alberta.
This investment will address critical base-building infrastructure, such as replacing the failed sanitary lines under the slab, fixing the aging arena slab floor and minimal maintenance work to the ice plant.
