Information Sessions

If you are looking for a way to increase your organization's visibility with our students as an employer of choice, an information session can be an effective marketing and attraction tool.

Important to know:
  • Sessions are typically scheduled to run from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm (MT), or from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm (MT) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings.
  • Historically, the best attendance occurs during the first six weeks of an academic term, and when a company is also promoting summer, co-op, or new grad employment opportunities in campusBRIDGE.
  • Events hosted by the Engineering Co-op Office or University of Alberta Career Centre must be booked a minimum of three (3) weeks in advance.
  • Dates and times are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis starting the first business day of May.

Candidate Briefing Sessions for co-op students

Interviewing a large number of engineering co-op students? Consider holding a briefing session to provide candidates with more information about your company and the position they are interviewing for. Not only is this an effective use of time, it also provides a great opportunity to interact with candidates outside of the formal interview process and to further assess their potential fit with your company. Contact your assigned Employer Relationship Manager, or email HireEngineering@ualberta.ca for assistance.
