We offer evidence-informed presentations and individualized case consultations for K-12 schools, government, non-profit, and community-based agencies who would like to build their professional capacity to effectively support the health, mental health, education, safety, and socialization needs of sexually and gender diverse children, youth, and families. All sessions are research-based and customized to your specific context and needs.

Where the Rivers Meet

An anti-homo/bi/transphobia education program for all students, teachers, and staff in K-12 schools. We also offer this professional development to not-for-profits and businesses.

A national leadership and wellness camp for 2SLGBTQ+ youth that focuses on their individual needs, socialization, health, and wellness as well as ways to help youth grow into resilience.

WTRM focuses on the celebration of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer folks and brings culturally relevant teachings based on Indigenous ways of knowing to schools and professionals.

Alberta GSA Network

CHEW provides a safe environment and free frontline support for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and emerging adults aged 14 -29 who face barriers such as mental health, poverty, houselessness, substance use, sexual health, oppression, and more.

It utilizes a holistic model to provide mental health support to 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their families and caregivers by offering free therapy with registers psychologists as well as integrated supports and services.

The Alberta Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Students Alliance (GSA) Network provides support to students & teachers to start, strengthen, and sustain GSA clubs (also known as gay-straight alliances, gender & sexual orientation alliances, queer-straight alliances, pride clubs, rainbow alliances, and many other names) in Alberta's K-12 schools.
Support the Fyrefly Institute
Our programs support the well being of 2SLGBTQ+ youth in Edmonton and surrounding areas. You can support us by volunteering or making a charitable donation to any of our programs, services, or projects.
All donations are eligible for a charitable tax deduction receipt from the University of Alberta.
