GFC Course & Program Changes

The Post-secondary Learning Act gives General Faculties Council (GFC) responsibility, subject to the authority of the Board of Governors, over academic affairs.

All routine course and program changes that do not involve or affect other Faculties or units and do not form part of a proposal for a new program or a substantive program change are approved regularly by the GFC Programs Committee in an omnibus motion. Approved items (after September 1, 2020) can be found in the Motion and Final Document Summary for the Programs Committee. Proposed items are posted here for information two weeks in advance of their approval.

Email submissions should be entitled: Course and Minor Program Change Proposal - Faculty of XXXX and sent to calendar@ualberta.ca

Course changes (introduction, deletion, modification) and minor program changes made prior to September 2020 are available by request. Please contact Heather Richholt (richholt@ualberta.ca) .
