Giving Recognition in the Workplace
Without the contributions and dedication of faculty, staff, the University of Alberta would not be the institution we are today. Recognizing and rewarding colleagues for their contributions and achievements ensures people feel their contributions are valued, and is an important component of a psychologically safe and healthy workplace. There are many formal and informal ways to recognize colleagues for their contributions.
Send a recognition e-card
A simple message can go a long way to let your colleagues know they are valued. Whether it’s a special day, acknowledgement of a job well done, or just letting someone know you're thinking of them, show your colleagues the recognition they deserve by sending a personalized U of A e-card.
Nominate a colleague for a recognition award
Formal recognition programs celebrate and acknowledge those people who have made an outstanding impact on the university. The following recognition programs are available for nominations.
