Orchesis Dance Program recognized for celebrating performing arts

Congratulations to Orchesis Dance for winning the Canada 150 in 150 video contest in the performing arts category

Orchesis Dance took home the Canada 150 in 150 medallion and one of 10, $1,000 prizes for being the top entry in the Performing Arts category for the Canada 150 in 150 video contest. Celebrating dance, the Orchesis Dance Program is open to all students, alumni and members of the community with a desire to dance, choreograph and perform.

The video was filmed and edited by David Son and features Orchesis Dance Program Chairperson Amanda Karpyshin and Orchesis dancers. Amanda and Tamara Bliss, Director, Orchesis Dance Program were honoured at the July 1st Canada 150 in 150 celebration at Rogers Place.

"Orchesis dance Program winning the performing arts category in the Canada150 in 150 makes me delighted and grateful," says Amanda "We work hard to provide quality dance classes/shows to the Edmonton community. Everyone from our director/choreographers/board /tech and dancers contribute to Orchesis. Thank you very much for the monetary gift to Orchesis."
