Convocation spotlight: Joel Camacho
19 November 2025
As is so often the case, a life-altering moment becomes the catalyst for change. For Joel Camacho, the experience of sustaining an injury, and successfully rehabilitating from it, re-ignited his passion for health and fitness, inspiring a shift in his career path.
He chose the bachelor of kinesiology program with a major in physical activity and health because it aligned with his educational goals. It also sparked new interests, including a passion for helping older adults realize their full health and fitness potential.
Now working on his master’s degree in occupational therapy, Joel is continuing to build his professional skills as a kinesiologist.
Congratulations Joel!
