Memorial Lecture of Professor X. Jie Yang

It is with deep respect and remembrance that we announce a memorial lecture in honor of Professor Xiao Jie Yang, scheduled to be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 19:00 (MST) on Zoom. Professor Yang made significant contributions to the Japanese program and the field of Japanese studies during his lifetime, and this lecture seeks to commemorate those achievements.
We are honored to have Dr. Lawrence Marceau as our guest speaker for the event. Dr. Marceau will be addressing the topic “Digesting Edo’s Illustrated Comic Fiction: Shiba Zenkō's Deep in the Gut of Courtesan Fourteen (1793)”. Please see the poster for more details.
