SLIS + Partners Host Talk on Indigenous Initiatives in Libraries

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, SLIS participated in the virtual talk "Indigenous Initiatives in Libraries" alongside colleagues in University of Alberta Library and the Public Library Services Branch. The talk was recorded and is available for viewing.

On Wednesday September 29th,  2021, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, SLIS hosted and participated in the virtual talk "Indigenous Initiatives in Libraries."  

The event was jointly sponsored by the School of Library and Information Studies, University of Alberta Library (UAL), and the Government of Alberta Public Library Services Branch. Moderated by Anne Carr-Wiggin (UAL) Colette Poitras (GoA), and SLIS student Arianna Alcaraz, this session discussed Indigenous Initiatives taking place across library sectors in Alberta.
