(has played at least 1 year of organized hockey) is required
All participants in Explore and Engage camps must be able to skate & provide their own hockey equipment
Explore Camps
The goals of this camp are to build fundamental hockey skills and improve general athletic skills. Half of the camp will be spent on the ice at Clare Drake Arena where participants will develop their skating, passing, shooting and puck-handling skills through fun drills and modified game play. The other half of the camp day will be dedicated to age-appropriate multi-sport activities designed to improve fundamental movement skills that support and complement the skills taught in the hockey sessions.
Engage Camps
The goals of this camp are to develop technical and tactical hockey skills. Half of the camp will be spent on the ice at Clare Drake Arena where participants will strengthen their skating, passing, shooting and puck-handling skills. Core concepts of offensive and defensive play will be taught through drills and games. The other half of the camp day will be dedicated to age-appropriate multi-sport activities designed to improve fundamental movement skills that support and complement the skills taught in the hockey sessions.
- Participants will receive a Camp Practice Jersey
- Participants may be grouped based on age and/or current skill level.
- Participants are required to come with full hockey equipment including their own stick along with suitable athletic clothing and footwear for the multi-sport sessions.
- Clean athletic shoes, and warm athletic clothing are required for on-ice sessions. A separate pair of athletic shoes and summer athletic clothing are required for the multi-sport sessions

Train-to-Train/ Learn-to-Compete
Ages 11 to 18
$350 / Excel camps

Session Breakdowns

- 30 min Power Skating / 30 min Skills / 30 min Compete (small area games)
- ONLY 24 Players - 4 Goaltenders per session
- 6:1 Player to Instructor Ratio
- GBH Head Coach Ian Herbers / former NHL Player and Coach
- Other coaches to include current GBH Players and Alumni, GBH Assistant Coaches
- Early Bear Special $350 - Register before June 1st 2023 to save. -After June 1st $400 per player
- 7.5 Hours of on ice instruction per week.
- All ice times at the River Cree Arenas
