ISTAR offers specialized training to practicum students in speech-language pathology programs, with supervised work in intensive clinics.

In addition to 70-90 hours of direct client contact, each trainee receives approximately 85 hours of training in workshops, meetings and seminars. Students learn highly effective methodologies developed over 30 years of research and clinical experience. Many of the concepts, strategies and skills that the students develop can be applied not only to stuttering, but to other areas of therapy as well.

ISTAR is proud to have trained over 400 students!

Practicing clinicians are also welcome to apply to ISTAR's clinical training program. Please contact us at 780-492-2619 or istar@ualberta.ca for an information package and application form.
