Fellowships

The Division of General Surgery offers one-year clinical Fellowship training in four subspecialty areas. Those interested in pursuing a Fellowship at the University of Alberta are asked to provide a letter of interest, a current CV and three letters of reference to the director of the desired program.

Acute Care Emergency Surgery (ACES) Fellowship

At this time, due to the structure of our Acute Care Emergency Surgery Fellowship Program, successful applicants are required to meet specific registration requirements as defined by the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP).  This dictates that applicants must fall within the RCPSC's Approved Jurisdictions.  Prior to submitting an application, please reference this LINK to ensure that your country of origin meets this requirement.
