About Us

Who We Are

The Alberta Healthy School Community Wellness Fund (AHSCWF) is a joint initiative between the University of Alberta’s School of Public Health Centre for Healthy Communities, and the Government of Alberta. The AHSCWF promotes sustainable, healthy school communities across the province by providing facilitated support and funding to school divisions and First Nations School Authorities, to address their self-identified needs through the use of the Comprehensive School Health (CSH) framework.

Vision

Albertan children and youth experience ideal health and learning, and belong to healthy school communities which enable them to flourish.

Mission

To provide facilitated support to school communities across Alberta to improve students' health and learning outcomes while addressing wellness in a planned, integrated and holistic way using a whole-school, comprehensive school health framework.
