Faculty of Engineering Representative

Navin Sidhu graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 from the Civil-Environmental Engineering Co-op program. Upon graduation, she accepted a position with EPCOR Water. After numerous years in hydraulics, Navin moved to a position in Projects where she worked in developing EPCOR’s Asset Management Office.

Following the birth of their children, Navin, and her husband Danny made the decision for her to stay home to raise their family. During this period, Navin studied to obtain an Interior Design Diploma and ventured into entrepreneurship, opening her own Interior Design firm, FabHab Interiors. She enjoyed designing residential and commercial projects and activating the design community with various collaborations.

After years of owning and operating her own business, Navin was approached by Alair Homes for a unique opportunity in the construction industry as Partner. She continues to operate in this role where she can combine her unique multi-disciplinary backgrounds from engineering, design, and construction.

Navin met her husband Danny (’02 BSc, Electrical Eng) during her undergrad; they have two children together. They enjoy travelling, biking in the summers, and spending time with family and friends. Navin also spends time actively volunteering with various associations including the CHBA and Edmonton Design Week.
