Susan Craig Bieganek, ’89 BA (Specialzn)

Member at Large

Susan had the joy of completing her undergraduate degree majoring in Economics and minoring in Political Science at the University of Alberta. After earning her BA (Specialzn) ’89, Susan joined the Government of Alberta.  She has spent the majority of her career in public sector and non-profit organizations focused on organizational effectiveness.

Susan earned her MA in Leadership (2018) at Royal Roads University and has become a passionate advocate for creating environments where people can succeed. In pursuit of that goal, Susan works to improve connection and collaboration. She focuses on co-creation and systems thinking to create intentional shifts in organizational culture.

Always an active community contributor and volunteer, Susan values her many alumni activities. These include digging in the dirt at the Green and Gold Garden, hosting Zoom meetings for Congress ’21, and providing mental health supports for current students through the Alumni Student Support and Engagement Team (ASSET).

Sources of inspiration for Susan include meeting people, rowing on the North Saskatchewan, and learning to create with fabric or glass.
