Clinical Education

Clinical Education is the practical application of academic coursework in a real life clinical setting. Under the mentorship and guidance of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist, CSD students are able to put into practice the knowledge, skills and behaviors learned in the classroom for assessing and treating individuals with a wide variety of communication and swallowing needs.

The program prepares students for professional practice in English with academic and clinical experiences integrated throughout the program. Students in the CSD program participate in both internal and external clinical education experiences in a wide range of practice settings and content areas including private practices, rehabilitation facilities, schools, preschool programs, community health centers, and acute care hospitals.
