The Faculty of Arts offers graduate students the opportunity to pursue their studies at one of the leading centres for liberal arts research in Canada. Our graduate students, working with the Faculty's internationally recognized scholars, undertake pathbreaking research, gain valuable and transferable professional skills, and for those pursuing academic careers, develop their classroom practice as educators.

We want our students to be able to focus on building their intellectual capital rather than worrying about money for rent or groceries. Graduate Student Resources
Graduate school challenges students to think differently, learn new ways of generating knowledge, and explore the world around them. The Faculty of Arts provides a host of supports to complement the resources available through individual departments, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The course-based MA program in Sociology provides students with an opportunity to earn a graduate degree in 8 to 12 months.
