Certificate of Graduate Studies in Administration and School Leadership
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Certificate of Graduate Studies in Administration and School Leadership is a program in French intended for professionals working in various educational and school settings. The program is offered mainly online, with possibilities of mixed formats (face-to-face course format, synchronized online delivery).
Program Objectives
This certificate is offered by Faculté Saint-Jean to professionals who wish to:
- deepen their knowledge of school leadership issues;
- sharpen their skills in school management and administration; and
- specialize in school leadership.

VYour application for admission must be submitted and all required documents must be received in the SLATE System.
The documents to be uploaded to the SLATE platform are:
- A copy of all official post-secondary transcripts, with a print date of less than one year on the transcripts
- A copy of all your post-secondary diplomas
- Two letters of reference
- CV
- Letter of intent
- Copy of your teaching certificate
- A bachelor degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0, or the equivalent, in the last 60 university credits
- A teaching certificate
- Demonstrated two (2)-year work experience in Canada, minimum, as a teaching professional

5 years work experience in Canada minimum, if willing to apply for leadership roles in schools.
- Demonstrated French language ability
The program includes 4 required courses ( * 12) that may be taken within a period of 1 year and up to 4 years
Required Courses (12 units):
- CEDUL 501 - L' Administration de l'éducation ( in Summer)
- CEDUL 502 - Formation des habiletés de supervision et de leadership ( in Fall)
- CEDUL 503 - Dimensions politiques et administratives de l'éducation bilingue (in winter)And one of the below classes : ( in Spring term)
- CEDUL 504 - Stage pratique de direction
- CEDUL 505 - Leadership et normes de qualité professionnelles
Voie passerelle à la maîtrise
Les étudiants qui ont complété le certificat avec succès peuvent utiliser certains cours du certificat pour obtenir une équivalence avancée dans le programme de maîtrise en éducation de la Faculté Saint-Jean, Division de l’éducation. La réussite du certificat ne constitue pas une garantie d’admission à un programme de maîtrise. Le certificat peut être utilisé à la fois comme critère d’admission et comme voie passerelle pour entrer dans le cursus du programme de maîtrise dans la voie sans thèse.
