Online MEng, Specialization in Construction Engineering and Management
Graduates of this field may become planners or site engineers for municipal and energy projects, commercial buildings, housing developments, or road infrastructure. The Hole School of Construction Engineering is supported by the U of A’s Construction Innovation Centre (CIC). Supported by more than 50 partners in industry, professional associations and funding bodies, the CIC brings together more than 30 faculty experts to drive industry-relevant research.
This program will equip you with the required knowledge, skills, methods, tools, experience, and professional communication capability to contribute to the civil engineering industry and society at large with the same faculty, courses, and degree as the esteemed on-campus program - with the flexibility of studying online.

- Optimize and oversee construction methods and processes
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks in construction
- Apply advanced production planning theories, human factors principles, and digital technologies to improve overall construction project management.
