NMHI Launches Inaugural Science Jam

NMHI’s first Science Jam spotlights breakthrough research in fast-paced, engaging talks for scientists and the public.

The Neuroscience & Mental Health Institute (NMHI) is proud to announce the inaugural NMHI Science Jam, a dynamic new event designed to showcase cutting-edge research and spark cross-disciplinary connection through fast-paced, engaging scientific talks.

Inspired by the successful Science Jam model pioneered at leading research institutions, the NMHI Science Jam will feature short, high-impact presentations from NMHI scientists and clinicians, each distilling complex discoveries into clear, compelling stories accessible to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.

The event will highlight innovative research across neuroscience and mental health, demonstrating how fundamental discovery translates into real-world impact for patients, families, and communities.

Event Details

Attendees can expect:

  • Rapid-fire, TED Talk–style presentations (five minutes or less per speaker)
  • A wide range of research topics spanning neuroscience, mental health, and related fields
  • Opportunities for networking and discussion in a lively, celebratory atmosphere

The NMHI Science Jam is open to researchers, trainees, partners, supporters, and members of the broader community who are interested in the future of brain and mental health research. Event recordings will be shared following the Science Jam to extend its reach and impact.
