The Department of Pediatrics Community Pediatrician of the Year Award
The Community Pediatrician of the Year Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the health and well-being of children within their community by a community pediatrician affiliated with the DoP. The award celebrates excellence in clinical care, advocacy, education, and/or leadership in community pediatrics.
Nomination Process
The primary nominator and secondary nominator/supporter must both be faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics. You must upload one letter from the primary nominator and one from the secondary nominator.
Eligibility
The Department of Pediatrics wishes to honor and recognize any DoP pediatrician whose primary clinical practice is in the community and demonstrate the following:
- Have an exceptional commitment to improving child health at the community level.
- Promote the values of equity, compassion, and innovation in pediatric practice.
- Inspire learners, faculty, and other healthcare professionals to engage in community-centered pediatric care and promote collaborative practice.
- Have an ongoing commitment to education.
Nominations for the 2025/2026 year have now closed.
All nominations will be reviewed by the Awards Committee which will be made up of Department of Pediatrics members and members from the wider community as needed.
