Course Sequence

While students have a maximum of six years to complete this course-based master’s degree, full-time students should complete the program in 20 months and most part-time students can complete the program in 36 months.

Note: SPH 530 runs in August but is still considered a fall course.

*Full time MPH students must register for 12 units of required courses in the first fall and nine units of required courses in the first winter of their program.

**Courses with A/B are one course — you must register for both at the same time and must start and finish them together for credit.

*Part-time students register for 9 units in the first fall term, but the load from September to December is 6 units since 3 units have already been completed in SPH 530.

**The courses laid out in the Year 1 schedule are to be taken together as students work in a cohort model. Only SPH 535 and SPH 537 can be shifted to the second year of the program and the course sequence and time to completion will change accordingly.
