The Certificate in Catholic Education is designed for University of Alberta education students. It complements an education degree with focused coursework in Catholic education and is recognized as a hiring asset by most Catholic school districts across Alberta. The B.A. Minor in Christian Theology is an interdisciplinary program offered by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta. To successfully complete the requirements of a Minor in Christian Theology, students take courses offered by St. Joseph’s College and/or St. Stephen’s College.

SJC Diploma in Liberal Arts - Starting Fall 2027
The St. Joseph's College Diploma in Liberal Arts introduces students to a range of disciplines and fosters students' ability to discern how to be human in a complex world. Rooted in Catholic engagement with the world, the 2-year program focuses on interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Completing the Diploma with a 2.0 GPA guarantees a student's admission into their third year of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta, with pathways to MacEwan University and other Alberta universities.
