Library

The St. Joseph's College Library is in the basement of the east wing of the College. Our collection contains over 26,000 items in Christian Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, Biblical Studies, Church History, Religious Education, and other topics related to the study of religion in general and Christianity and Catholicism in particular. All of our holdings are searchable using the University of Alberta Libraries website.

Our collection is fully integrated with the University of Alberta Library System, and UofA Library Borrowing terms apply.

The library has a ONEcard printer, scanner, and photocopier for University staff and students, as well as 5 computers, 35 seats of study space, and an after-hours book drop.

There is a group study space, located on the second floor, which can be booked using the sign-in sheet at the front entrance.

Unfortunately there is no elevator access to the library, which is located in the basement of the St. Joseph’s College building.

The library’s quiet atmosphere, low-glare furnishings (primarily wood), combination of natural and fluorescent light, and carpeted floor make it a generally low-stimulation environment.

See U of A Libraries Accessible Resources, Space and Services for more information.
