As a public research university, UAlberta has adopted a bold and far-reaching vision: to build one of the world’s great universities for the public good.
Our mission is to take what happens in our classrooms and laboratories and apply it in ways that inform public policy, bringing social, cultural and economic dividends to society.
Realizing this vision will bridge our past to our future. It will further the promise of our founding president, Henry Marshall Tory — to apply knowledge for the “uplifting of the whole people” — with the opportunities of a 21st-century world that is interconnected and independent.
With your continued support, the University of Alberta can extend its impact across the province and country, and around the globe.
