M. Whitecotton-Carroll - 16 May 2022

Dr. Benjamin Tucker has been recognized by students as one of the 2021-2022 recipients of the U of A Award for Outstanding Mentorship in Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities in the category of Established Faculty.

This is a student-nominated award that recognizes mentors who go the extra mile to support undergraduate students in research and creative activities. The nominations were judged by a multi-disciplinary committee of undergraduate and graduate students, based on the important aspects of personal, professional, and intellectual support provided by mentors.

Each year, up to two award recipients are selected in each of four categories: Early Career Faculty, Established Faculty (>5 years in a faculty position), Graduate Students/Postdoctoral Fellows, and Research/Technical Staff.

The award recipients were recognized at a virtual awards ceremony at the Festival of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities on March 11th.

Congratulations to Dr. Benjamin Tucker on his terrific support of our undergraduate students.
