Music Students' Association (MSA)

The Music Student's Association (MSA) is dedicated to building a strong and connected community both within and beyond the Department of Music. As a group, the MSA plans and curates events, acts as a liaison between faculty and the student body, and provides valuable services and opportunities to Music students. They also look for ways to connect Music students to the broader university and local music communities.

Message from the 2016-2017 MSA Team

The Music Students’ Association Executive would like to welcome you to another great year in the Music Department at the U of A!

The MSA has many exciting events planned for the year, including monthly pancake lunches, monthly music at noon concerts, two Charity Recitals, and our annual Formal! Keep your eye on the MSA bulletin board, join our Facebook group, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram to stay in the loop!

The MSA continues to rent lockers to all students enrolled in music courses and ensembles. Please contact our Vice-President, Elise Noyes (enoyes@ualberta.ca) for any inquiries. We also supply inexpensive manuscript paper ($4 for 50 double sided, hole punched sheets, in the 10 or 12 stave style). Blocks of manuscript paper can be purchased from any MSA member.

We look forward to seeing you at our events, and always remember that we are YOUR student association! We are dedicated to enriching your experience as a music student and to making this department a strong and connected community. Feel free to let us know of any comments or concerns you may have by e-mailing the address below.

Here's to another great year of music!

On behalf of the MSA executive,

Louise Ashdown
