The Faculty of Nursing:
- Leads research that shapes practice, policy and communities locally, nationally, and internationally;
Attracts operating and career awards from national and provincial agencies;
- Collaborates with Universities, communities and decision-makers in low, middle, and high income countries;
- Has four Areas of Excellence in: Chronicity, Health Equity, Health Systems and NPPH (Nursing Pedagogy, Philosophy and History);
- Houses the world renowned International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM), the unit for Philosophical Nursing Research (uPNR), and Innovations in Seniors' Care Research Unit (iSENIORSru).
