The 32nd Alberta District Japanese Speech Contest

It was a great pleasure to host the 32nd Alberta District Japanese Speech Contest on Saturday, March 11, 2023, connecting with the University of Calgary by zoom. 20 contestants from the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta shared their experiences and thoughts.

In the Beginner category, Beichen Wang won first place, Hussain Cochinwalai won second place and Ezgi Ince won third place. In the Intermediate category, Jessie Zheng won first place, Lavender Wong won second place and  Dayee Lee won third place. In the Advanced category, Erica Kim won first place and Kayla Zurakowski won second place. 

The first-place winners from each of the categories are invited to compete at the 34th Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest held on March 26, 2023 at the Japan Foundation, Toronto.
