Research Services
Serves and supports University of Alberta researchers, faculties,centres and institutes by identifying potential funding, facilitating funding applications and providing grant/funding administration, guidance and oversight.
Research Ethics
Oversees and supports research ethics review and approval for research involving human participants, as well as research, teaching and testing involving animals. Research ethics focuses on the research participants rather than those conducting the research.
Innovation and Commercialization
Innovation and Commercialization helps researchers, postdoctoral fellows, staff and students transform their innovations into reality—helping assess commercial opportunities, protect IP/inventions and navigate the commercialization process.
Research Partnerships
Research Partnerships provides oversight of the university's 82 centres and institutes and the new bi-lateral agreement on research collaboration with the National Research Council.

Provides application and proposal support to the University of Alberta's research community in the following areas: health sciences, natural sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities.
