Enterprise Square, located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, was originally used as office and classroom space — serving various departmental needs and offering tenancy opportunities that connected U of A with downtown Edmonton business. The goal of this project included further revitalizing and optimizing the space to better serve U of A administrative service needs, while opening capacity on north campus to support greater teaching and research spaces — all under the umbrella of the Integrated Asset Management Strategy.
This project also supports the university’s space optimization strategy and the Enterprise Square consolidation strategy that was completed on the main floor. Similarly, this project included further renovation of four distinct zones located on the 3rd floor — enhancing office, meeting room, collaboration and support spaces for teams from University Services and Finance, External Relations and Research and Innovation portfolios. Lastly, space has been made available throughout the building for continued partnerships between the U of A and industry and technology partners in the area.
