SONOTHROMBOLYSIS
An Investigator-initiated prospective, single-center, single-arm study to assess the efficacy and safety of sonothrombolysis in the acute management of patients with ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) undergoing reperfusion therapy with primary percutaneous coronary intervention [PPCI]. Sonothrombolysis is echocardiographic imaging with intermittent diagnostic high mechanical index using a commercially available echocardiography scanner during an intravenous 5% Definity infusion (Lantheus Medical) over a maximum 30 minute treatment period (started prior to PCI and repeated after PCI)
