  • Quality of Faculty - Staff of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals and Highly cited researchers in 21 broad subject categories [40%]
  • Research Output - Papers published in Nature and Science* and Papers indexed in Science Citation Index-expanded and Social Science Citation Index [40%]
  • Per Capita Performance - Per capita academic performance of an institution [10%]

Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities (NTU Rankings)
The Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities, also known as the NTU rankings, are released annually by National Taiwan University. The NTU provides a World University Rankings as well as rankings by 27 subjects and in 6 fields. The NTU ranking system was designed to evaluate research universities’ achievements in scientific research using objective indicators. The NTU performance measurements are composed of 8 indicators representing 3 different criteria of scientific paper performance: Research Productivity, Research Impact and Research Excellence
