Congratulations to Royston Greenwood, who has been named this year’s Organization & Management Theory (OMT) Distinguished Educator by the Academy of Management.

David Deephouse has been selected as an ASAC Fellows for 2025. This prestigious honour recognizes distinguished Canadian scholars for excellence in research, their commitment to advancing the academic community and mentoring the next generation of researchers. Congratulations!

Student Success

Joshua Mercer, Tran Nguyen, McKenna Pearson, and Damon Whitford placed second while representing the Alberta School of Business at the Lazaridis School International Case Competition. Congratulations to the team on this achievement!

Congratulations to our MBA students for their exceptional performance at the National MBA Games in Hamilton, Ontario, securing second place in the HON Hotels Case Competition and third place in the CCG Case Competition. The team was mentored and supported by Mauricio Vizconde.

Alberta School of Business students Maya Bezubiak, Allan Solomon, and Cainwyn Clark placed first in the 2025 Business Valuation Challenge for their outstanding performance.

Kinzy Basha, Lalla-Rita Hachim, Aahra Gillani, Stefanie McNally, and Kaylee Simmen placed first at the Cenovus Impact Series Live Pitch and were invited to present at the University of Alberta Impact Series Celebration, held at the Myer Horowitz Theatre before an audience of more than 500 attendees.

Congratulations to Alberta School of Business students Gaurav Dhir, Siddharth Pathak, Kyla Johnson, and Emma-Krista Demeter for placing third overall at the inaugural Babeș-Bolyai University International Case Competition in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Amy Xinrui Li, Jasmeen Dhah, Majid Nikouee, and Frans Hanna represented the Alberta School of Business MBA program at the DeGroote Case Competition at McMaster University. Thank you to the team for representing the Alberta School of Business.

Alberta School of Business students Ava Sutherland, Eshaan Virani, Tyler Bichage, and Larissa Bishop represented the University of Alberta on the global stage at the Rotterdam/Carleton International Case Competition, hosted by the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Ottawa. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Alberta School of Business students Gwenyth Van Eden, Harim A., Elliot Hope, and Rittik Chowdhury for representing the University of Alberta on an international stage at the Central European Case Competition in Vienna, Austria.
