Faculty Excellence 

Congratulations to Dr. David Dale-Johnsson for receiving the City Building in Alberta Award. This award recognizes visionary leadership and lasting impact in shaping our cities and communities. David has been a constant presence in the Real Estate program since its inception in 2011. 

Dr. Jennifer Argo has been named Fellow by the Society for Consumer Psychology. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Mohamad Soltani on receiving both the Management Science Distinguished Service Award and the Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM) Meritorious Service Award. These awards recognize his contributions as a journal reviewer and his consistently timely, unbiased and thoughtful reports.

Student Success

Congratulations to our students Kellor Thompson Scott, Tyler Bichage and Aldren Escobia who represented the Alberta School of Business at the International Case Competition at Maastricht in the Netherlands! And a big thank you to their faculty advisor, Douglas Peterson. 

Congratulations to our students Sahara Johal, Thanat Punpanich, Salma El-Maadawy, and Jacqueline Cooksey for representing the Alberta School of Business at the 2026 Chulalongkorn International Business Case Competition (CIBCC) hosted in Thailand. And thank you to their faculty advisor, Jim Seethram. 

Congratulations to our PhD candidate Yasser Zeinali for winning the David Martell Forestry SIG Student Paper Award at the Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS) conference in Kingston on June 9.

Congratulations to our PhD candidate Samira Jafari for receiving the Best Reviewer Award at the first Canadian Entrepreneurship Research Conference (CERC) at Ivey Business School.

Alumni News 

MBA Alumnus Olugbenga Ibikunle, MBA, PhD, P.Eng., received the Outstanding Mentor Award at APEGA’s 2026 Summit Awards Gala for his many years of mentoring engineers across academia and industry. Congratulations!
