Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce Admission Requirements - Effective Fall 2027
Students are admitted directly to the Alberta School of Business. The Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce (BBCom) is a direct-entry only program. Applicants to the BBCom will be considered for admission based on their average on the five required admission subjects below.
The competitive admission average will vary by year.
Grade 12 courses listed below are based on the Alberta Education curriculum. See High School Applicants for non-Alberta curriculum.
Admission Requirements
Required Grade 12 Admission Subjects
- One of French 30 Y (9 year), 31; Français 30-1, 30-2; French Language Arts 30-1, 30-2
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Mathematics 30-1
- Subject from Group A or C (Social Studies 30-1 is recommended)
- Subject from Group A, B or C. See Classification of High School Courses.
How to apply to the BBCom program?
Go to uab.ca/apply and click on the yellow APPLY NOW button.
Answer a few initial questions to be routed to the correct application system:
- Applicants outside Alberta and Saskatchewan: If you have not studied in Alberta or Saskatchewan (highschool or post-secondary), you will be taken directly to U of A’s application portal called Launchpad.
- Applicants in Alberta and Saskatchewan: If you have studied in Alberta or Saskatchewan (highschool or post-secondary), you will be directed to ApplyAlberta first to create an account. Complete the required personal information and then select the post secondary institution you would like to apply for, i.e. University of Alberta.
Once in Launchpad, fill in your personal and academic information, verify your account, then proceed to program selection.
A pop-up box will appear. Scroll to the bottom and select:
Select an application type’: Choose the upcoming Fall term and ‘Undergraduate Programs’.
In the ‘Term & First Program Selection’ section, to select the Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce (BBCom) program, choose the following options:
- When do you wish to begin attending? ‘Fall (September)’ & ‘2027’
- What is your intended status? ‘Degree Student’
- Which campus are you planning to attend? ‘North Campus’
- Note: Students in the BBCom program should plan to attend their first two years on Campus Saint-Jean and years three and four on North Campus.
- Please select a faculty: ‘Alberta School of Business'
- Please select a Program: ‘Baccalauréat bilingue en Administration des affaires'
- Please select a Major: Select a Major based on your area of interest. This can be changed once you are admitted to the program.
