If it is an emergency, call 911 then U of A Protective Services.
For crimes in progress on campus, call Protective Services at 780-492-5050.
To report non-emergency safety and security incidents, call University of Alberta Protective Services (UAPS) at 780-492-5050, or visit Protective Services in person at 11390 87 Ave NW (Education Car Park) on North Campus.
You can contact UAPS 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Each report is assessed and assigned to a member for documentation and/or investigation, if warranted. A file number will be provided to you for your records.
Additional Reporting
Protective Services works with university departments and external services to ensure incident reporting requirements are met.
Certain reporting is required under university policies and procedures when there is theft or damage of university property, privacy breaches or incidents where research may be impacted. When reporting to UAPS, we will let you know if additional reporting is required.

Other police services of jurisdiction may need to be involved when reporting a crime. If reporting to other police services, please inform them you have or will be reporting the matter to UAPS.

Making a Disclosure
The Office of Safe Disclosure & Human Rights (OSDHR) provides a safe, neutral and confidential space to speak about experiences of discrimination, harassment, ethical concerns, health and safety violations, financial mismanagement and other concerns at the University of Alberta.
